Unforgettable Lake Kabetogama is centrally located in Voyageurs National Park in northern Minnesota. Voyageurs is among America’s newest national parks. It is a water-based activity park which is made up of four large interconnecting lakes. Travel freely with no motor restrictions through a water based wilderness area with a boat, kayak or canoe. Lake Kabetogama is about twenty two miles long and six miles wide with a rocky 500 mile glacier-carved shoreline. It has over one hundred islands and many secluded bays. Kabetogama is one of Minnesota’s most scenic lakes, it explodes with natural beauty and wildlife. While on the lake, visitors often see bald eagles, loons, ducks, deer, bear and other watchable park wildlife. Explore deep forests of pine, spruce and birch that surround the lake by hiking on more than 20 miles of park wilderness trails. Visitors can also canoe and fish on interior wilderness lakes with park service equipment. The park service also offers regularly scheduled interpretive tours, hikes and programs. The park’s visitor center is less than one mile from the resort. There’s more to do than just fish at Lake Kabetogama.
